bell’s experiment for quantum entanglement didn’t really prove or disprove anything — the idea of the theoretically possible local hidden variables they allegedly used in their measurements are exactly that — theoretical, imagined by humans. there could be countless other hidden variables beyond what we can currently conceive.
for the longest time since i first learned about bell’s test, i believed the results. well, i didn’t know any better back then — i was very young. or rather i just didn’t know all the details of the experiment. now that i’ve learned how the experiment was actually set up, i realize it cannot give a definitive answer. i’m in disbelief that physicists haven’t noticed the flaw in their reasoning.
i could be wrong, of course, but based on what i understand now, it seems the experiment hasn’t really solved the problem — it only ruled out one particular scenario of hidden variables among countless other possibilities.
