What if. About the expanding universe.
There is a possibility that the universe, in the beginning or in our current cycle since the last bounce from collapse, has created a quantity of matter larger than visible today. The dense matter is now all around the less dense universe that we see, so it’s pulling towards it. To us it only appears like the universe is expanding, while it could just be a local phenomenon — local till our observable limit. The universe as a whole can even be already collapsing back to itself, while we just don’t see it yet. No “dark energy” needed if that’s the case — it could be a futile effort to search for a dark energy.
