why cosmic expansion is accelerating
well, it just hit me as an idea, which of course could be wrong. imagine there’s a first level space with different properties, into which our observable, second level space expands into. from the first level space there’s coming through some energy into our observable universe, which expands the volume by pushing the universe apart with the ever increasing force. not much is needed — as one has calculated for the current acceleration rate, it’s needed only one new atom per cubic meter per year, or something in that amount, if i remember right. universe is huge, thus these rare extra atoms will add up fast. the more volume our space has the more energy it is able to get from the first level space, hence the accelerated expansion.
