There are good news and bad news.
The good news is that I can hardly envision a water crisis in the garden.. mm.. jungle, next to my house.. mm.. cave. Coming home today I discovered half a cliff next to the place dripping water. Today it wasn’t even raining in this area at all, only cloudy a bit.. so it’s all coming from higher up, from the mountains which I can’t see from here.
Been living here for one month now. I see first time the water dripping from the cliff above me, even though I have seen some rain here. The cave itself is a meter lower than the level of the garden — to the best of my understanding I see no water level marks, or humidity traces.. otherwise I wouldn’t set up my tent in here.
The water must be going further down the hill through some cracks in the rocks. So far I feel safe, but will see what winter with the rainy season will bring.
Half the jungle is still to cut, to make it look more like a garden, but probably I must leave lot of vegetation untouched now, to control the water in the ground. Once first half of the garden begins to take a better shape, with fresh and tidy vegetation, then I can hack through the rest of the jungle. That’s a theory. The mountains will teach me what the theory is worth, once the big rain comes down. Will see.
Other good news, it never gets boring here.
By the way, I take photos and short video clips every day, about this place — these will be selected and posted in the articles which can be accessed with a code — for donors, investors and perhaps some other selected people to see, not for everyone. But you can read my stories and to enjoy your imagination.
