PUBLISHING MY BOOKS. LITERARY AGENT.

It’s been a long time since I began looking for a literary agent for my books, particularly for the most promising one, the “Advanced Handwriting Cryptography”..

The fact is that nobody has shown a real interest, even among friends whom I proposed to represent me. Some said that the cryptography is too difficult of a topic, and others had different interests in life — being a literary agent wasn’t interesting enough.

As the result, counting the years of a futile search, I must take care of the business side of my books myself. It will take away time from my research in sciences and creative work, but it seems that I have no other option right now.

I have no idea how long time it will take, before some income from my book(s) will begin creating more free time than taking the time away from me, but I will give it a try.

First, it will take a lot of research about the publishing business of printed books and ebooks, before even deciding which publishers to approach and/or which self publish ebook platforms suit for me the best. No quick action nor results expected because I want to do it properly.

In fact I do have a general idea how it all works — I already did a general research on publishing books, long time ago. Not complicated, but quite time consuming. The time needed for publishing, promoting, and taking care of it all properly was the reason why I have postponed it thus far. My ongoing research in different sciences was my priority, so I was looking for a literary agent proposing 50% from profit.

Now I must dive into every detail of the book publishing business, to know what to expect, which mistakes to avoid, and which strategy to choose — either one or few publishing options at the time, with a pause in between, or to all of them simultaneously, after a proper preparation and testing with some lighter consumption books. Cryptography isn’t complicated, it only sounds scary, so I must think it through how to serve the readers and not to scare them away too soon, before they get the taste for it.

As there is nobody out there up to the task, I must sacrifice some of the time of my life for the business, which isn’t as interesting as research in different sciences.

ABOUT UPCOMING SCIENCE NEWS

As long as I keep learning, I will keep sharing the most interesting news and ideas as before. Fortunately, from decades of research, I have my sources and channels selected for the most interesting, relevant and reliable news, thus I don’t need to spend so much time for discovering something new, as I did for many years before. There have been literally years wasted going through all the garbage in science, little known and well known, but still BS (bad science). Some of the garbage science I believed initially, until a closer learning revealed the not so honest side of science.

Now I think that I can dedicate some time for the business side of my life, while still keeping me informed in advancements in those sciences that interest me the most.

A LITERARY AGENT STILL NEEDED

Meanwhile, you can still apply to become my literary agent. As long as I am in the research/testing phase of the publishing business and platforms, and haven’t signed significant/large contracts, I can give the duties to represent me to someone else. And even after signing a contract I could do that, to relieve myself from promoting, accounting and bookkeeping. But in that case the share I will offer will be much less, not 50% from the profit as it currently stands.
