my comment:
a great and very profound expression why free speech is so important. i wish i had such level of verbal agility on the go. even though i understand almost everything and it feels like i could say the same to others in my own words, i struggle with it when it comes to it. i lack the skill, i need to think twice and to verify words in dictionary before expressing me, so i better post the great expressions of ideas by others. i would like to deliver some of those ideas a bit differently, because i don’t agree with absolutely everything when i post the original sources, but due to not being so articulate i must rely on sharing the original lectures/podcasts/talks. i admire people with such a power of verbal communication. it’s possible that my own physical structure of the brain puts a limit to achieving the same level of verbal agility, so it won’t even be possible to train in it. i stick to the things i do a bit better than talking, like learning, thinking and slowly writing with lots of editing when needed.
ABOUT ‘WORD’..
in the above lecture i do not agree only with the very last point about the religious tradition of the ‘word’ in that sense. in my view the ‘word’ is even more deep, as the basis for creation which begins in mind. without a clear expression in words which clarify ideas, desires, a purpose, and so on, there is a mess in the mind, with relatively random processes ruling over directed creation. in the religious sense though, for the followers of religions at least, it’s a means of subversion, a business on believers, often profiting on the believers by controlling them. it does not necessarily mean bad, but it does include the bad/evil side as well. control though can also be exercised for a common good, so, i am not trying to destroy the overall purpose of religions — i’m not an expert in theology. by a common sense though it’s clear that any religion, as a human enterprise, has human faults embedded in it. but the ‘word’, as i understand it, is a creative beginning of everything in sense of defining structure inside prevailing chaos. there’s much more to it in ‘word’ than in the end of the lecture was mentioned.
ps. just a remark that this post is not a year-end “most important” article, neither will be the first article of the next year. all the holidays and “sacred” dates in calendars are just regular days in my mind. a day in a calendar may be important and historically worth to remember, but i am not planning my articles/posts according to a calendar. i write and post content when i have something in my mind worth sharing and have the time for it. that said, i wish you the best for the next year because you deserve it as you have been reading this article up to these words of the wishes. there may be more posts before the next year though, depending on what i will find worth sharing.
